NOTICE REGARDING THE 2020 CARIBBEAN DAYS FESTIVAL
AT WATERFRONT PARK IN NORTH VANCOUVER
The Trinidad and Tobago Cultural Society of BC have been proud and excited to host the Caribbean Days Festival at Waterfront Park in North Vancouver for over 30 years. This year, however, due to the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the Festival.
The health and welfare of all our volunteers, vendors, artists and the general public is our number one priority. The recent ruling of the Minister of Health, Adrian Dix, and Dr. Bonnie Henry, the Provincial Health Officer, has shown that the only way to stop the spread of this virus is to avoid large crowds which is why we made this unfortunate decision.
Although we are all very disappointed by this decision, we are looking forward to firstly, an end to this devastating situation that has shaken our world and secondly, putting our time and energy into continuing to produce a successful Caribbean Days Festival.
Thanks for your continued support everyone and please stay safe.
