Since its creation in 1988, the Trinidad and Tobago Cultural Society of BC’s newsletter was known as just that, the Newsletter.
With Carole Hector at the helm as editor for many years, the TTCSBC Newsletter was the source to go to in order to keep informed about both Trinidad and Caribbean community events here in Vancouver and beyond.
The Newsletter also offered a forum for opinions to be discussed, an array of educational articles and a reminder of Trini sayings, jokes and recipes.
In 1998 the TTCSBC Newsletter held a naming and logo contest. The result is what you see on the front cover of the sample to the right (edited by Shalyma Cambridge in July 2007). Wilson Wong Moon, a founding member of the TTCSBC, came up with the winning logo and name, “Kiss Ka Dee Kalling”...
